Lord, we pray that the church may be strengthened and helped during this holy week through your grace and through the power of the holy spirit. Thus passion sunday, now conflated with palm sunday, allows us to ‘grasp’ and to live through the crucifixion, since it is only as christian people share the darkness of calvary, both in imagination and by acknowledging and facing our own hidden darkness, will we.
We Are Not The First To Despair Or The First To Offer Our Tired Hope Up To The One Who Might Save Us.
We cry out to god against brokenness and injustice.
